There are multiple convenient options available for getting to and from Mountain House, thanks to the area’s well-planned public transportation systems.

International Airports

Mountain House is within a reasonable commute to three major International Airports, including San Francisco International (1 hour & 10 minutes), Oakland International (50 minutes), and Sacramento International (1 hour & 30 minutes). These facilities provide a complete array of commuter and freight service to regional, national, and international destinations throughout
the world.

Corporate Airports

Several regional and corporate airports are within a 30-minute commute of Mountain House providing convenient air and freight access for corporate business needs to and from the corporate business parks of Mountain House. Local facilities include the Livermore Airport in eastern Alameda County, the Stockton Airport in Stockton, San Joaquin County, and the Byron Airport in eastern Contra Costa County.

Local Airport

Owned by the city and managed by the Parks and Community Services Department, Tracy’s Municipal Airport is just minutes from Mountain House and accommodates flight training, ultra-light operations, commercial operations, aircraft maintenance, and repair.

San Joaquin Commuter Bus

The San Joaquin Commuter Bus system is an inter-regional bus service. Twenty commuter buses effectively connect San Joaquin County to Sacramento, the Bay Area, and BART. This specialized service enables Mountain House residents to travel more than 50 miles away.


Amtrak’s trains get Mountain House residents to wherever they need to go. From Sacramento and north to Reno and Carson City, Nevada; to the California’s Central Coast, and destinations throughout Southern California, the commuter services here are rapid and available every day of the year.


The Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) is the rail service of choice for those commuting from the East Bay to the employment and entertainment destinations throughout the Bay Area including San Francisco, San Jose, and the East Bay. The BART trains are a convenient solution to the Bay Area’s long-range transportation needs. The closest BART Station is located in Pleasanton, approximately 30 to 40 minutes west of Mountain House and connects to every destination on the BART network throughout the Bay Area.


Your daily commute can be relaxing and give you the free time you need. With the Altamont Commuter Express (ACE) train, you can get from Mountain House to the major business and employment centers through the East Bay, South Bay, and San Jose in a matter of minutes, minus the headache that comes with battling congested freeways.

Mountain House Transit

Residents and employees within Mountain House will be able to utilize a comprehensive on-site system of local bus transit, which will connect all residential villages of Mountain House with the planned business and commerce parks, shopping district, recreational amenities, and the Town Center. The Mountain House Transit will also provide intra-regional connections to the SMART and Delta Commuter Bus services via an on-site intraregional Transit Station located within the future Town Center. Mountain House Transit will be provided by the Mountain House Community Services District and is already funded via the collection of special taxes paid by all property owners within the community of Mountain House.
